Period covered: July 2 – August 4, 2026

Two releases went out since our last update — a quick patch in early July, followed by a bigger one in early August that included a security update, routine maintenance, and some new documentation for the team.

What changed for editors

  • Cards with rich text no longer get cut short — the character limit used to count HTML formatting against the visible text, which sometimes truncated content early. That's fixed.
  • Cookie consent banner (Klaro) exclusions were adjusted so it stops appearing on a few pages where it shouldn't.

Site spotlight: Christiansbrunn

Two changes this cycle were specific to the Christiansbrunn site's config split, not a platform-wide change:

  • Trade directory listings now show the full list of entries instead of paging through results, matching the same fix already in place for the person_source listing.
  • Trade directory entries can now be put in a specific display order rather than defaulting to alphabetical, again mirroring the person_source behavior.

Security & maintenance

  • Drupal core was updated to the latest patch release as part of our standard security update cadence.
  • A routine wave of contributed module updates went out alongside it — nothing user-facing, just keeping the platform current and secure.

Behind the scenes

  • We added a new set of internal platform documentation covering how WMS Drupal is hosted, how deployments work, and how the multisite setup is structured. This also includes onboarding notes for the College of Arts and Sciences as it joins the platform.
  • Added guidance docs for how our AI coding assistants should work within this codebase, to keep future changes consistent.

Upgrade impact

No action needed from site editors. No breaking changes, no content migrations. Sites with custom configuration will get their usual config sync as part of the normal deploy process.
